Students, I strongly encourage you to consider attending the AWP conference in February–it’s a great way to see what’s current in literary, academic (in creative writing), and publishing worlds. And the book fair is like nothing you’ve ever seen before (worth the price of admission itself!). You all are AWP members through the program, so your registration fee would be a paltry $50 if you register before Dec. 22. I hope you’ll seriously consider it–if you go, you won’t regret it. It’s something you should do at least once.
