Two Bits in the Locus Award Poll

Hey all,

If you are at all interested in science fiction, I recommend reading Locus Magazine, which is the trade journal of the field. It doesn’t publish fiction, but does publish interviews, reviews, and publishing news for the industry (authors and agents, but also booksellers and librarians).

Every year, Locus also launches the Locus Recommended Reading List and Poll for subscribers (whose votes are weighted as two votes) and the general public. This year I’m pleased to have two entries on the poll myself: my anthology Hanzai Japan is in the anthology section (where else), and my day job at Haikasoru is listed under publisher.  If you’re familiar with the book and enjoyed it, and have enjoyed the stuff I’ve been doing anyway, please consider a vote. There are plenty of novels, stories, collections, etc. listed. Anyone who wants to understand the science fiction/fantasy field outside of childhood favorites and the best-seller lists as it stands right this very second can and should use the full poll as a reading list.
