David G. Hartwell, RIP

Locus Magazine is reporting that influential science fiction editor David G. Hartwell has died after a fall. In addition to editing thousands of science fiction and fantasy novels and a number of significant anthologies of short fiction, Hartwell was on the board of advisors when this MFA program launched.

His influence on the genre will be felt for decades to come.
