I have no financial interest in this magazine, and am not even a contributor to it, but I have been routinely entertained, educated, inspired, and amazed by it. Scratch Magazine covers writing and money—journalism, blogging, Hollywood, fiction both literary and commercial, and does it via feature articles, Q/As, roundtables, confessional essays, etc. It offers much more for professional writers than magazines such as Writer’s Digest and The Writer—which are primarily for hobbyists—and is not beholden to the MFA/contest industry, unlike Poets & Writers.
If you’re serious, you’ll subscribe. That is all.
