Brian Thiem’s 3-Book Deal Announced in Publisher’s Marketplace

I’m thrilled to see my crime fiction series formally announced in Publisher’s Marketplace.

December 9, 2014 – RED LINE by Brian Thiem

Fiction: Mystery/Crime

Brian Thiem’s debut RED LINE, the first in a new police procedural series by a 25-year veteran of the Oakland Police Department, featuring a homicide detective, pitched as “Harry Bosch meets Joseph Wambaugh,” to Matt Martz at Crooked Lane, the new crime fiction imprint at Bookspan, in a nice deal, for publication in 2015, by Paula Munier at Talcott Notch Literary Services.

Congratulations to my former classmate and fellow alumnus Brian Thiem!

  3. It happened to the right guy at the right time. Good luck, may all three hit the bestseller list.

Oh, Brian, I’m so thrilled for you! I heard a gazillion good things about this new imprint at Bouchercon. You’re going to be in good company with some of the major authors they’ve lined up. Do you have a pub date yet?

Thanks all. It’s nice to hear you say that, Jane. It’s exciting to be part of a new imprint, and I’m very happy about their relationship Bookspan and all of the book clubs, which might get my book more exposure than most publishing houses can accomplish. They’ve only told me fall 2015 so far, but my editor told me the publication schedule should be finalized soon and that will contain more precise dates.

So happy for you, Brian! Your work is getting the attention it deserves. Can’t wait to see it published.
