New Student Orientation and Welcome Event

Dear New Students,

The orientation session tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon will be held in the Westside Classroom Building, Room 243. We will begin promptly at 2:00, so please arrive a few minutes early.

The orientation will be done between 4:30 and 5:00, followed by a dinner break. At 7 pm, we will reconvene in the Daily Grind coffee shop in the Westside Campus Center, where you will meet a number of current students, faculty mentors, and graduates of the program and hear brief readings by some of our faculty.

After the first night, all evening events are free and open to the public, so feel free to invite guests to the evening readings.

The Classroom Building and the Campus Center are side-by-side at the top of the hill on the Westside Campus. You can park on the road at the top of the hill outside the Campus Center, or you can park in the lot between the Classroom Building and the O’Neill Center athletic facility. To get to that parking lot, turn right before you crest the hill, just as you pass the Centennial Hall dormitory on the left.

If you will be staying at the Maron but won’t have your own car, please let me know so that we can arrange a ride for you up the hill. You can walk up the hill, but it is a long and strenuous walk.

My mobile number is 203.512.5102. Don’t hesitate to call me if you have any problem.
