Laura B. Hayden’s essay in Three Minus One collection

My essay “Harbinger” is included in the new book Three Minus One, to be released 4/19 (in conjunction with the movie Return to Zero, which will premier on 5/1). Three Minus One: Parents’ Stories of Love and Loss is a collection of intimate, stories and artwork by parents who have lost a child to stillbirth, miscarriage, or neonatal death, inspired by the film Return to Zero. The  movie and book are the special projects of Sean Hanish, a filmmaker, screenwriter, and playwright.  His feature directorial debut, RETURN TO ZERO is a true story based on the experience he and his wife had when they lost their first son within weeks of his due date in 2005.  RETURN TO ZERO stars Minnie Driver, Paul Adelstein, and Alfred Molina, and is the first Hollywood film to tackle the taboo subject of stillbirth. The collection can be preordered

Laura, such wonderful news. I can only imagine the emotion and heartache that goes into a project as monumental as this, and the web of emotions spun by each writer who has a piece in the book. I am eager to read your essay! Congratulations, and thanks for sharing this!
