For anyone attending the AWP Conference in Boston next week, I’m moderating what should prove to be an interesting panel entitled “Write Where You Know: When Setting Serves As A Main Character In Your Novel,” with Pulitzer winner Richard Russo, PEN/Hemingway winner Jennifer Haigh (who many in our program were wowed by last year) and fellow novelist Thomas Kelly (The Rackets, Payback, Empire Rising.) It’s at noon on Saturday, March 9.
Hope to see you there.
I’ll be there. Thanks for letting me know.

Congrats, John, on landing this terrific panel. Wow! I’m going to try to schedule my return to NYC so i can attend. If not, know I’ll be there with you in spirit.
